Test & Tune Redline Raceway Friday 24th of April

We learned a lot about how the car is working with all the changes over the winter. Some worked some didn’t. We could of used 2 more runs on the night but that’s another story. Tore deep into the car today to find a nagging problem and hope we got a good fixed this time. They got the right side of the car fixed up, can’t hardly tell it was tore up. Looks like the count on Modifieds is going to be in the low 20th. I put a few pictures in the photo album of the car on the track and in the pits.

Car on Cowpatty Nation

Kevin Hartnett and Sitler Kline Racing made Cowpatty Nation with a pic of the car and some good words. Check it out when you get time. The car is about ready for the test and tune Friday night. Still needs some paint on the bumper and rails, but other than that it’s ready to go. According to Redline Forum the pits are still full of gas company equipment so the pits will be relocated to below the pit food stand. The test and tune starts at 6PM, for those wondering. I don’t know if we will make it out on the first run of the night or not, depends on what time we get on the road north. As of right now the weather looks good so come on out, it’s FREE. Tragic news out of Central PA

Shawn “Sheetz” McGarvey died of injuries sustained during a work related accident Tuesday morning April 14th, 2009 in Cambria County, Central Pennsylvania. According to reports he was alone at the time of the accident, loading a semi-trailer, when he apparently fell and was pinned by a machine. Sheetz won the late Model Championship at Central PA Speedway in 2005 the year we won the Modified Championship. A lot of nights he would stop by the trailer and sit around and shoot the bull with Shawn and our crew. He was truly one of the good guys in racing. Below is a picture of Shawn and Shawn racing bikes at CPS. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and race team.

Two weeks til Test & Tune…

The car was on the scales and set up last weekend. We got a few new tires mounted today. We are going to spend the next two weeks going over the car and making sure everything is ready to go. This year is going to very interesting, I’m figuring this is the year we will see a consi at Redline. I now have the 2009 car on the front page of the web site and I also uploaded a few pictures of the car into the photo album. See Ya at the track in two weeks.
